Super Bowl preparations are well underway in New Orleans, but did you know this is one of the biggest weeks of the draft process?

The Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama is this weekend. All week these under-the-radar players try to prove they are ready to take it to the next level.

The Vikings proved they are in the need for wide receiver help. I know Jarius Wright is still a bit raw, but I give him a legit show at the club next season. As fpr Jerome Simpson, Doh! I better not see him next year. Of course then there is Percy Harvin, all the tools, speed and ability.

Vikings fans should take interest in the Senior Bowl and pay attention to the play of Baylor's Terrance Williams. He is big, strong and has good speed. Scouts in Mobile say he is going after DBs in drills.

A couple of other receivers to look at include Ryan Swope out of Texas A&M and Duke's Conner Vernon.

The scout on Swope is he has some skill and is coachable. Vernon is fast, tremendous ankle-breaking cuts, and according to news accounts of practice so far this week, fought for the ball and generally made life miserable for the defensive backs.
