The 31st annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day is approaching and Washington High School is honoring 26 athletes on January 27th.

National Girls and Women in Sports Day is officially scheduled for February 1st. Washington High School will honor athletes prior to the girls basketball game against Roosevelt on January 27th. Athletes were selected based on their athletic ability, character, sportsmanship, and academics.

This year Washington will honor 26 of their athletes that participate in South Dakota High School Activities Association sanctioned sports. These sports include basketball, competitive cheer, competitive dance, cross country, golf, gymnastics, sideline cheer, soccer, tennis, track & field, and volleyball.
