Watch as 5-Year-Old JP Gibson Plays for the Utah Jazz on Monday Night
Sometimes the world of sports can be overshadowed by the negative, but the Utah Jazz provided one of the most positive, best moments of the year on Monday night.
JP Gibson is a huge Jazz fan, and now he has even more reason to be. Gibson is in a battle with leukemia. The Jazz signed Gibson to a one day contract for a team scrimmage at Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City.
The event started with a special press conference to announce the signing of the five year old.
Gibson even used his favorite writing utensil to confirm the deal. A purple crayon.
Then it was off to the actual game in his new number one jersey. Gibson entered the game in the 3rd quarter of the scrimmage and immediately made an impact. He drove the entire floor and finished it off with a slam dunk (with a little assist).
The Jazz put together a full compilation video of his day.
And for Gibson, this moment will be one he never forgets.
