Just when you think you know what is going on in the NFL, you get performances like we've seen from Jacksonville all season as they sit in first place in the AFC South along with weekly upsets that have you scratching your head.

This week will probably be the same crazy nonsense we see week to week in the NFL, but I'm going to take my crack at trying to deliver "The Lock of the Week".

With Brock Osweiler making his first start this season for Denver as they take on Philly, the Eagles are -7 and as tempting as that looks, I will pass.

After the catastrophic knee injury to Deshaun Watson, the Texans went from a 11 point favorite to a 7 point favorite over Indy, but with the memories of Tom Savage playing brutal the last time he was out there, I am going to stay away from this one too.

So lets get you to the real winner, the game of the week and the lock of the week.

Dallas and Kansas City is probably going to draw the most bets in Las Vegas this week, so I am going to follow the trend as the game is a pick em.

When you have a pick em, I always will go with the better team and the better team right now is Kansas City.

Alex Smith has been surprising a lot of people with some clutch throws down the field this season and he will have many opportunities to do so this week against the Dallas D. Look for a couple of touchdowns to be thrown by Smith while he limits the turnovers with good decisions all day.

Kansas City is your lock of the week and all they have to do is win the game outright.
