What’s It Take To Play Linebacker At Age 39, Only $300,000
Apparently, James Harrison spends somewhere around $300,000 for recovery treatments on his body. At age 39, Harrison is likely one of the strongest players in the entire league.
If you’re not on social media, you’ve missed some of the most ridiculous workouts that I’ve ever seen. Some of them are truly jaw dropping..

The best part of this story is that Harrison claims these doctors “cannot be found on Google.” He found these individuals through underground channels. Harrison pays these doctors to fly from New York and California to see him wherever he’s at.
ESPN reported that Harrison sees a acupuncturist, a dry needlist, three massage therapists, two chiropractors and a cupping specialist once a week. I understand the need to recover well, I’m someone who spends too much time in the gym and also spends a little extra to feel healthy but this is amazing.
I’ve always wondered what players like Harrison, Peppers, Brady and Steve Smith Jr. do to recover and stay in the league for so long. Apparently, it requires finding black market doctors and specialists.
Harrison may not be as great as he once was but he’s still one of the most feared defenders in the league. He’s just a flat out scary dude and with what he does to stay healthy, I don’t see that changing this season.
