PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - Sen. Tim Johnson says Yankton has been awarded more than $2 million in federal funding to improve its wastewater collection and treatment system.

Johnson says the funding will help Yankton improve its wastewater system to recover from last year's flooding.

The project is funded from a disaster program administered by the U.S. Economic Development Administration.
