After playing five games with the Boston Celtics in NBA Summer League action earlier this month, Yankton native Colton Iverson has decided to forgo the NBA to play overseas.

The Boston Glove's Celtics Blog is reporting that Iverson has signed a two-year deal with a professional team in Turkey.

The contract with Besiktas of the Turkish League has an out after the first season.

During summer league play, Iverson appeared in five games, averaging 5 points, and 5 rebounds a game.

In June, the former Colorado State and University of Minnesota center was drafted 53d overall by the Celtics, who will still own his NBA rights.
