It has been a great week of games coming down to the wire for South Dakota high school basketball. Tanner Frick has added to it.

Extra time can seem to be expected any time Yankton and Brookings meet in a sporting event. During the football season, Yankton defeated Brookings 42-35 in 5OT. They also needed 2OT to separate each other on Thursday night in basketball.

Frick, a senior guard, played a part in both the football and basketball overtime games. On Thursday night, trailing 50-48, Frick made a nice move to get some separation and drilled a three with five seconds left to play. The bucket would give the Yankton Bucks a 51-50 win.

Yankton is now 4-2 and currently sits in third place of Class AA District 2.
