2 Elected to 5-year Terms on Athletics Board

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The South Dakota High School Athletics Association has filled two positions on its board of directors.

The Division II position is being filled by Dan Whalen of Pierre. He is the activities director at Pierre T.F. Riggs High School. The division is for schools with an average daily membership from 193 through 683.

The large school group board of education position will be filled by Mike Miller, a member of the Aberdeen Central School District Board of Education. The division is for schools with an average daily membership from 477 through 1,580.

Both are five-year terms.

The association tabulated ballots from two runoff elections. All SDHSAA member schools were entitled to vote.
