A planned 24-unit affordable housing project in southeast Sioux Falls is a step closer to being built after getting a $200,000 grant from Wells Fargo.

The grant is going from the bank to Affordable Housing Solutions, a non-profit leading the project in Sioux Falls.

The housing complex is expected to include duplexes and townhouses that individuals earning less than 80% of the areas median income will have access to. The cost of the Field of Dreams housing has been estimated at between $2.4 million and $2.8 million.

All of the units would have either one or two bedrooms and will cost around $130,000 or less.
