On Friday, Huskers fans were dealt a tough loss as Iowa was able to walk into Lincoln and get a win on the leg of their kicker.

To add insult to injury for Nebraska fans, the kicker who sealed their fate with yet another year of missing a bowl game, wasn't even on scholarship.

That's right, a non scholarship player had ice in his veins as he was iced twice by Nebraska head coach Scott Frost and still delivered the goods as he made the game winning field goal.

Keith Duncan will no longer be a non scholarship player though as he will receive a scholarship from Iowa after yesterday's performance.

Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz made the announcement after the game and eluded to Duncan's success since arriving at the school four years ago.

Duncan was a walk on in 2016 and will receive a scholarship for the final year of his eligibility with the Hawkeyes in 2020.

Iowa will most likely land at the Citrus Bowl or the Holiday Bowl after a great 9-3 season which saw them win six games in the Big 10.
