It was a great day to be a Jackrabbit or a Vikings in South Dakota on Saturday.

Augustana University and South Dakota State University both picked up wins on the football field.

It was the sixth annual Dairy Drive in Brookings and SDSU defeated Long Island 38-3.

Devin Blakley lead the rushing attack with 52 yards on the ground and a average of over 10 yards per carry.

That effort helped SDSU control the ground and the time of possession on their way to the win.

The Jacks improved to 1-1 with the win over LIU.

Augustana rolled over Upper Iowa with a 52-0 shutout of the Peacocks at Kirkeby-Over Stadium.

It was a dominant performance on both offense and defense for Augustana as they gave Upper Iowa no shot at winning all day.

That was the first shutout at home since 2014 and first overall since 2016.

Augie starts the season 1-0 and will go on the road next week to face off against Minnesota State.
