Sioux Falls just completed its first professional golf tournament and Caroline Westrup took home the title as the Symetra Tour stopped in South Dakota for the first time.

Westrup finished with a -12 under par score after a final round of 69 to help proprell her to her first tour win.

Four weeks ago, Westrup applied to be a college assistant and had really considered it a point where her professional career could be over.

She earned a tour record $31,500 for her win and moved to 14th on the years money list.

Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls played host and saw a great crowd attend the four day tournament.
