SIOUX FALLS - A week of celebrity-packed events helped raise more than $1 million for a music academy for Sioux Falls Boys & Girls Clubs members.

A surprise appearance by KISS frontman Gene Simmons capped the week of events, which helped bring in $1.2 million for the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy. Other celebrities who showed their support included Alice Cooper, Vince Neil, George Lopez and Louie Anderson.

Dollar Loan CEO and Academy founder Chuck Brennan says not only was it an "incredible week of entertainment," but it was also a time for people to see the facility and learn about the mission.
