The South Dakota Class 11AAA semifinal round will be played tonight (November 8) and it will feature the same four teams for the fifth consecutive year.

Class 11AAA was implemented back in 2013 by splitting Class 11AA into two. With this being the seventh year, Class 11AAA has found some consistency when it comes to the playoffs. Lincoln dominated Class 11AAA in its first two years with back-to-back championships. The final four teams in those seasons featured Lincoln, O'Gorman, Brandon Valley, and Roosevelt.

Since 2015, Washington has replaced Lincoln in the semifinal group. O'Gorman, Roosevelt, and Brandon Valley have continued to be consistent in making it to semifinal weekend.

This season those four teams will meet again with a trip to Brookings on the line. This will also be the second time in five years that O'Gorman will play Roosevelt, while Washington battles Brandon Valley.
