VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) - Riley Schmidt returned a fumble 89 yards for a touchdown Friday as Dell Rapids overwhelmed Harrisburg 47-0 in the South Dakota 11A championship football game.

The Quarriers (11-1) gave up just 257 yards to notch their third straight championship. They also beat Harrisburg 55-20 in the 2010 game. Dell Rapids gave up just 112 yards on the ground.

Schmidt added a 56-yard run in the second quarter as Dell Rapids went up 28-0 at the half. He had a 17-yard scoring run in the third quarter and finished with 110 yards on four carries.

Cole Langer had 88 yards and two touchdowns.

Andrwew McCuen passed for 145 yards for Harrisburg (9-3).
