The Denver Broncos had no quarterbacks on the roster on Sunday afternoon as the entire QB room was wiped out due COVID-19.

So instead, the Broncos trotted out numerous players in the quarterback role all while completing only 1 pass and losing to the New Orleans Saints in the process.

New Orleans defeated Denver on Sunday 31-3 while improving to 9-2 while the Broncos fell to 4-7 with the loss.

The Saints didn't do much better through the air as Taysom Hill continued to fill in for the injured Drew Brees going 9-16 with 78 yards passing and 1 interception.

Quarterbacks Drew Lock, Brett Rypien and Blake Bortles all were withheld from the game due to COVID-19 issues and Kendall Hinton was forced to take the majority of the snaps at the position.

ESPN reported on Sunday that some of the Broncos players including safety Kareem Jackson felt like the NFL was making a point by playing the game instead of moving it.

Drew Lock admitted he wasn't wearing a mask in team meetings which he later apologized for, but the league may have wanted it to be an example to other organizations to make sure they are diligent in COVID-19 protocols.

Even if the NFL was trying to make an example out of the Broncos, can you blame them?

It is astonishing to me that this far along in the pandemic and considering what's at stake in the NFL that these athletes continue to let their guard down.

Nevertheless, Denver will have to learn a tough lesson while the Saints benefitted from their indiscretions.

The Broncos are hopeful that the QB's will all be back for their next contest on the road against Kansas City next week while the Saints will face off against the Falcons in Week 13.
