The heat didn't bother the players during game one of the World Series Monday night.

Game-time temp was 103 degrees, the hottest on record for a Major League Baseball game.

The LA Dodgers made a statement in their first at bat and the first pitch with a home run by Chris Taylor.

After a 1-1 tie Josh Turner fluffed his whiskers and sealed the win with a two run shot to make it 3-1.

And what a pitching performance by Clayton Kershaw striking out 11 through seven innings.

There's still an Excessive Heat Warning posted for the Los Angeles area today but it should be a little cooler by the first pitch in game-2.  Only 99 degrees.
