Jose Iglesias raised his average to .397 with a homer and a triple among his three hits. Joakim Soria picked up his eighth save in eight chances.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have reconvened from their winter break. Adrian Peterson has been conspicuously missing. The star running back rarely participated in the offseason activities that weren't contractually required in the past. Several of Peterson's teammates say they would welcome him back.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Lynx have signed two draft picks. The Lynx announced the signings yesterday of second-round draft pick Reshanda Gray and third-rounder Shae Kelley. Gray finished the season averaging 17.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Kelly was named to the All-Big Ten First Team in 2015.

CHICAGO (AP) — The Milwaukee Bucks, who were down 3-0 in their first-round NBA playoff series, now find themselves heading home needing a victory Thursday night to tie the series with Chicago at three games apiece. Michael Carter-Williams had 22 points, eight rebounds and nine assists in the Bucks' 94-88 road victory in Chicago last night.

NEW YORK (AP)— Deron Williams rebounded from two dismal games with 35 points, and the Brooklyn Nets pulled out a 120-115 overtime victory over the Atlanta Hawks to tie that series at two games apiece. Brook Lopez had 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Nets.

UNDATED (AP)— In the NHL playoffs, the Washington Capitals advanced to play the New York Rangers by beating the Islanders 2-1 in Game 7 of that first round series. And Tampa Bay got two goals from Tyler Johnson and beat Detroit 5-2 to force a Game 7 Wednesday night to decide that first round series.

CHICAGO (AP) — Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said goalie Corey Crawford will start Game 1 of the team's second-round series against the Minnesota Wild. Crawford was shaky early in the Blackhawks' six-game win over Nashville in the opening round and lost the starting job to backup Scott Darling. The Wild and Blackhawks will meet in the postseason for the third straight year.

ATLANTA (AP)— The Atlanta Braves handed the Washington Nationals their sixth straight loss, 8-4. Kelly Johnson hit a two-run homer. The Nationals, preseason favorites to win the World Series, made four errors and dropped into the basement of the NL East with a 7-13 record. They are eight games back of the Mets.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Josh Hamilton is back with the Texas Rangers. The Los Angeles Angels wanted to get rid of him so much they are expected to pay most of the remaining $80.2 million on his contract. Hamilton, who has a history of drug and alcohol issues, never reported to the Angels this season after offseason right shoulder surgery.
