UNDATED (AP) — The 49ers can join the growing list of playoff teams in what promises to be a nostalgic night in San Francisco.

If the Niners beat Atlanta in the Monday Night football game, they will earn a spot in the post-season. And that would be a fitting way for them to close out their run at iconic Candlestick Park.

Tonight's game is the final one after four decades at the wind-whipped stadium that has seen its share of memorable moments from Dwight Clark's improbable "The Catch" 32 years ago to a string of Super Bowl successes.

San Francisco enters the game with a 10-4 record.

This was expected to be a late-season match-up of playoff bound teams, but the Falcons have suffered through a stunning 4-10 season to this point. They'll be trying to salvage some respect in tonight's game.
