The South Dakota women start week four of the Summit League season on top of the heap, with a challenging road trip ahead of them.

The Coyotes are at Fort Wayne and IUPUI this week, a trip that saw them get swept in 2014.

USD has the momentum of two big home wins coming into play this week.  The first was a 84-69 win over North Dakota State.

This was a complete team win for the Coyotes, with five players in double figures and a big first half that started with a 7-0 run and ended with USD shooting 53 percent.

Head coach Amy Williams on the won over the Bison:

Saturday afternoon, the Coyotes ran their win streak against South Dakota State to two, with a 82-78 win over the Jackrabbits.

Two big keys for USD in the win: outscoring SDSU by a dozen at the free throw line and 23 second half points for Raeshel Contreras, who finished the game with 32.

This week's road trip starts Thursday in a place the Coyotes have never won, Fort Wayne.

The Mastodons are led by sharp shooting guard Haley Seibert, the Summit League's fourth leading scorer (18 points per game).

Coach Williams knows Seibert presents challenges for her defense:

Tipoff is 6:00 PM Thursday in Fort Wayne.
