SEMIFINALS
MITCHELL 46, SIOUX FALLS WASHINGTON 37
RAPID CITY, SD -- Macy Miller scored a game-high 21 points to lead Mitchell to a 46-37 semifinal victory over Sioux Falls Washington on Friday at the South Dakota Class AA basketball tournament.

Miller also grabbed five rebounds and dished out three assists, while Kristin Sabers added 15 points and five rebounds for the third-seeded Kernels.

Mitchell (22-3) shot 47 percent from the field to Washington's 29 percent.

Emma Hanson led the second-seeded Warriors (21-3) with 10 points and eight rebounds.

SIOUX FALLS LINCOLN 50, ABERDEEN CENTRAL 48
RAPID CITY, SD -- Cara Ledbetter's two free throws with 2.9 seconds left gave Sioux Falls Lincoln a 50-48 semifinal victory on Friday over Aberdeen Central in the South Dakota Class AA basketball tournament.

Ledbetter scored the final six points of the game for the fifth-seeded Patriots. She finished with 18 points and nine rebounds to lead Lincoln (16-8). Darby Hugunin added 10 points and five rebounds.

Samantha Knecht led top-seeded Central with 15 points. Brynn Flakus added 13 points, while Sara Niederbaumer had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Golden Eagles (21-2).

The Patriots shot 36 percent from the field, while Central shot 44 percent.

CONSOLATION SEMIFINALS
RAPID CITY CENTRAL 56, SIOUX FALLS O'GORMAN 48
RAPID CITY, SD -- Taylor Bauer had 13 points to lead a balanced Rapid City Central attack as the Cobblers defeated Sioux Falls O'Gorman 56-48 in a consolation game Friday at the South Dakota girls Class AA basketball tournament.

Bauer had three of Central's seven three-pointers. Chelsey Carmichael added four three-pointers and 12 points and Tori Holt and Lexy Jo Deneke added 10 points apiece for the Cobblers (14-8).

Central trailed 28-21 at the half. But an 8-0 run to start the second half put it in the lead for good.

Jessica Mieras led O'Gorman (14-11) with 15 points and eight rebounds.

SIOUX FALLS ROOSEVELT 54, STURGIS 50
RAPID CITY, SD -- Sioux Falls Roosevelt came from six points down after three quarters to beat Sturgis 54-50 Friday in a consolation game at the South Dakota girls Class AA basketball tournament.

The Riders (17-7) trailed 37-31 after three quarters but stormed back to advance to the fifth-place game.

Trailing 53-50, Sturgis (9-16) turned the ball over on its final two possessions to ruin any chance it had of pulling out a last-second win.

Paige Mriden made just five of 14 shots but led Roosevelt with 18 points. She had three three-pointers. Nicole Hatcher added 16 points, including two three-pointers and six rebounds.

Kahlie Peterson led the Scoopers with 15 points, 12 rebounds and three assists. Erin Short added 13 points.
