Halloween Safety Tips from Sioux Falls Fire Rescue’s Jim Sideris

With Halloween just weeks away, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue Chief Jim Sideris urges parents to think "safety." Here are some tips that will help make Halloween fun and safe for your children:

• Halloween costumes should be made of flame retardant material.
• Make sure the costume fits properly.  If a mask is worn,  make sure that the eye holes are big enough.
• Try to work reflector strips into your child's costume, a flash light or light stick to make them more visible at night.
