For more than eight-plus decades they've been entertaining fans with big-air slam dunks, magical trick shots, dazzling ball-handling skills and hilarious antics, and now they're coming back to the Sioux Empire.

Get ready for a little of that Sweet Georgia Brown sound as the world famous Harlem Globetrotters make a return to Sioux Falls on Tuesday night, April 21, 2015 at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

It's the Harlem Globetrotters 2015 “Washington General” Revenge World Tour.

The Globetrotters were founded in 1926, back then they were known as the Ambassadors of Goodwill. They've played in 122 countries, winning more than 25,000 games.

Every Harlem Globetrotters fan knows the team’s biggest rivals are the Washington Generals. The Generals have been dormant for the past five years, but guess what, they're back and are seeking a little revenge.

One of my favorite moments in my youth, was when my father took me to watch a Globetrotters game back in the 1970's. That is when Globetrotters legends like; Meadowlark Lemon and Curly Neal were playing with the red, white and blue. I still remember being mesmerized by the dribbling style of Neal and the showmanship of Lemon at the time.

Now flash forward several years, and I do mean several, and you will get to see new red, white and blue legends like thirteen-year Globetrotter veteran, Anthony “Buckets” Blakes.

Blakes promises fans will be witness to thrilling basketball and humorous family entertainment once again.

Speaking on the return of the Washington Generals, Blakes said, “I guess the last five years they were on a hiatus. They definitely went and got some great shooters. They’re not so much as athletic as us, but you cannot leave those guys open because they’ll knock the 3 or the 4-pointers down.”

If you've followed the Harlem Globetrotters throughout the years, you already know what a big part of America’s pop culture they've become. I mean we're talking about a team that has appeared on a variety of TV shows ranging from the Wide World of Sports, to Scooby Doo, to Gilligan’s Island. Globetrotter members have also shown up on the Amazing Race, The Price is Right and the Bachelorette too.

The team also has broken its fair share of records throughout the years. Speaking of Blakes, he recently broke the Guinness World Records record for the most underhanded half-court shots in one minute, a shot he’s been honing for years.

There's no doubt the Globetrotters appeal is stronger than ever, and you can witness the fun all over again, Tuesday night, April 21 at 7 P.M. at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

Tickets are available at the PREMIER Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com or charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000.
