How Much Money Did Scottie Pippen Make in his NBA Career?

The "Last Dance" documentary on the Chicago Bulls premiered on Sunday night on ESPN and along with it brought some very interesting questions about that time and those involved.

One of those questions surrounded the second-best player on that team and the money he did or didn't make during his time with the Chicago Bulls.

How much money did Scottie Pippen make in his NBA career?

The question comes up as Pippen's fractured relationship with the organization is highlighted because of his contract situation with the team.

Pippen entered the 1997-1998 season as the 6th highest-paid player on the team and the 122nd highest-paid player in the league.

That was seen as a slap in the face for a player who was at the time top ten in the league and top 50 all time.

The reason for the low salary was because Pippen took a seven-year, $18 million deal from the Bulls in the early '90s and would be underpaid at the end of the deal.

Pippen would have to wait until he would land in Houston and Portland to reap the benefits of the more lucrative NBA.

Scottie would go on to cash in both places and see his overall salary grow to over $107 million over his entire NBA career.

According to HoopsHype.com, using US inflation numbers, that would be like making $164 million today.
