A four-game winning streak has put the South Dakota State women's basketball team in sole possession of second place in the Summit League, with a pair of road games on the schedule this week.

The Jackrabbits latest victory came at home last Thursday, a 89-68 win over Fort Wayne, which featured a 13-0 first half run to blow the game open.  SDSU also exploded for 54 first half points on 63 percent shooting; their best offensive output in a half in more than a year.

Chynna Stevens missed the game with a foot injury, and Megan Waytashek went down during the game, but Clarissa Ober finished with a career high 21 points leading four players in double figures.

Head coach Aaron Johnston says it was yet another player stepping up on offense to led the team this season:

This week's road test begins in Denver Wednesday night.  The Jackrabbits beat the Pioneers 85-44 in early January. In that game, SDSU held Denver to just 13 first half points, while using runs of 16-2 and 22-3 to open up a 33 point halftime lead.

Those are numbers Coach Johnston are looking to duplicate in the rematch, but he knows his team will be different if Waytashek can't play:

Tipoff is 8:00 PM Wednesday in Denver.
