Recent news out of Jacksonville stated that Chad Henne will start tonight's preseason game over Blake Bortles. That means it's time Jacksonville moves on from their nightmare and takes a step in the right direction with one of the brightest young rosters in the league.

For a team that has a ton of young talent and has great weapons, the offensive has been held back by a guy who owns a completion rating of 58.8, averages 17 interceptions a year, and has only thrown 69 touchdowns.

The Jags have even gifted him with Allen Hurns, Allen Robinson, Marqise Lee and Marcedes Lewis but he still can't hit any of them for a decent season. Sorry Bortles, but you have no more excuses, you're just not a good quarterback.

His offensive line isn't one of the best in the league but it's also not the worst and others have done a lot more with a lot less. There were times last season that he had plenty time to plant and make a solid throw. However, he either over threw his man by a mile or threw a duck.

In the last three years, Jacksonville has even put together a solid defense. They've drafted some young talent on defense like Dante Fowler Jr, Jalen Ramsey and Myles Jack.
In 2016, they landed the sought after defensive tackle Malik Jackson. This is all while having a solid linebackers Paul Posluszny and Telvin Mack eating up the middle of the field.
Then this year they went out and signed defensive end Calais Campbell, corner A.J. Bouye and safety Barry Church. All were high ticket free agents that many teams had an eye on this past off-season.
With Leonard Fournette making his NFL debut this season, it's time to cut bait and move on from this nightmare. Enough is enough, it's time they become the team they have the potential to be.
