For the Sioux Falls teams, this upcoming week will finish off the regular season in Class 11AAA. This week also provides the opportunity to shake up the polls.

My poll has not switched this week. Lincoln, Roosevelt, Brandon Valley, O'Gorman, and Washington were all successful last week. The two Rapid City schools, along with Aberdeen Central suffered loses in Class 11AAA.

1) Sioux Falls Lincoln (7-0)
2) Sioux Falls Roosevelt (6-1)
3) Brandon Valley (4-2)
4) Sioux Falls O'Gorman (5-2)
5) Aberdeen Central (2-4)
-------
6) Sioux Falls Washington (3-4)
7) Rapid City Stevens (2-5)
8) Rapid City Central (1-6)

Class 11AAA has certainly separated itself from top to bottom this year. The top four teams have stood above the bottom four throughout the entire season.

Lincoln had another tough battle with a Class 11AA school in Harrisburg. They ended up winning 35-14, in a game that was a bit closer than the score indicates. Lincoln was just stronger at the end. Lincoln finishes the regular season this week against Washington on Friday night (here on ESPN 99.1)

Roosevelt had no issues with a Rapid City Stevens team that traveled to the east side of the state for a third time this year. Stevens has a bye week before finishing their regular season slate against Rapid City Central on October 23rd. Roosevelt faces O'Gorman in both team's regular season finale on Friday night.

Brandon Valley found themselves in a tough contest in Aberdeen this past weekend but won 49-35. Brandon Valley has two more games left, as they will host Pierre this weekend and travel to Harrisburg the following.

O'Gorman defeated their second 11AA school this season after beating Watertown 42-7 last weekend. O'Gorman is now 2-1 (OT loss to Yankton) against 11AA schools, and 3-2 against 11AAA. O'Gorman hosts Roosevelt this week.

I give Aberdeen Central the edge over Washington in the poll due to head-to-head record, and the common opponent of Brandon Valley. Aberdeen Central suffered a 49-35 loss this past weekend, whereas Washington was defeated by Brandon Valley 38-21 a couple weeks ago.

Washington is coming into their final regular season game with a two game winning streak. Last week they made the trip to Rapid City to face the Cobblers. Washington beat Central 56-7. Washington is looking for momentum heading into the playoffs, along with increasing their position in the standings. Central has an off week before facing Stevens on October 23rd.
