According to sources, free agent outfielder Josh Hamilton agreed Thursday to a contract with the Los Angeles Angels.

The contract is being reported as a five year deal that will land Hamilton in LA.

In 2010, Hamilton won the MVP, however, injuries and questions about his ability to combat his previous substance issues have been the ultimate reason for skepticism on whether or not to give Hamilton the long term deal he was coveting.

Throughout his career, mainly with Texas, Hamilton has a batting average of .304 and been a consistent 100 RBI player.

Staying in the division, Hamilton will have the ability to put it on his former team and looking at the Angels lineup, they may just be the team to beat in the AL.

Last year, the Angels made big news in Free Agency by signing ALbert Pujols and now putting Hamilton in the roster will only help Pujols's numbers.

Hamilton hit .285 with 43 homers and 128 RBIs in an very up and down 2012 with the Texas Rangers.
