The University of Sioux Falls has announced that Kaely Hummel and JJ Cooney have been named as USF Athletes of the Year for 2019-2020.

Hummel was selected as an NCAA DII Honorable Mention All-American by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. She was also named to the D2CCA All-Region first team. During the season, Hummel averaged 17 points/game and led the Cougars to a 26-6 overall record. The 5'8 senior ended her USF basketball career third on the all-time points list with 1,733 total points.

USF standout golfer Cooney was named male athlete of the year following a season in which he had a top-10 finish in three events and was top-five in the NSIC. In his career, he has made 5,454 shots in 73 rounds for a 74.71 career stroke average.
