Max Kepler was the hero for the Minnesota Twins in the rubber game against the Houston Atros on Wednesday.

After letting an 8-1 lead slip away Kepler gave the Twins a 9-8 win with a walk-off dinger in the bottom of the ninth.

The Twins starter Kyle Gibson riding an 8-0 lead in the 4th inning saw that lead dwindle as Houston slammed four runs in the next frame and one in the 6th inning at the hands of Trevor Hildenberger.

Minnesota's bullpen would give up two more in the ninth inning as the Astros tied the game.

Then with two outs in the bottom of the 9th Kepler comes back to the plate and became the hero for Paul Molitor and the Twins.

Minnesota now 6-4 on the season will host the Chicago White Sox in a three game home stand beginning today at Target Field. Jose Berrios will take the mound for the Twins at 7:10 PM tonight.

All season long Minnesota Twins baseball can be heard on Information 1000 KSOO.
