Though there was already free multiplayer content announced for Killzone: Shadow Fall, Sony and Guerrilla Games revealed a new season pass for the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, Guerrilla producer Poria Torken detailed the Killzone: Shadow Fall season pass. Retailing for $19.99, the pass will get you access to the online co-op expansion, which is a four-player wave-based mode (think Horde). Four maps will be included, but you'll also gain access to six more maps down the line, delivered in three different drops.

Curiously enough, the season pass also includes two more standard multiplayer packs. Guerrilla offered no details on these bits of content, but considering the developer has already promised free maps to those who buy the game normally, we're wondering just what sets these pay-to-play maps apart.

The season pass will be available at launch for Shadow Fall, and if you do decide to pick it up on day one, you'll also get an OWL combat drone skin and a unique Multiplayer Spotlight move thrown in for free.
