One year ago, a late season move helped propel the Sioux Falls Skyforce to the NBADL Championship. This year’s edition is to help qualify for the post season.

Larry Drew II will return for his fourth season with the team after spending the past few months with Neptunas in both the Lithuanian LKL and Basketball Champions (BCL) leagues. A press release from the Skyforce chronicled his performance in 35 regular season games (26 starts) he averaged 8.6 points, 5.5 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game.

Sioux Falls has made a post season run in the three years prior with Drew II on the roster. At the time of the signing, the Skyforce were one game ahead of Santa Cruz for the final slot in the Western Conference.

Drew II currently holds the D-League record for assists in a game with 23 set on Christmas Day in 2014. Plus, he ranks fifth all-time for most career assists in Skyforce franchise history, with a total of 693. At number 4 is Darryl McDonald with 701 dimes with the top 3 on the grid each with over 1,100 in their respective times with the ‘Force (Randy Livingston 1,245; Cedric Hunter 1,134; David Bailey 1,127).

One of the more underrated aspect of Drew II’s time in Sioux Falls is that he ranks fifth all-time in three-point percentage, shooting at a career-rate of 41.8 percent (105-251). Over 86 games (76 starts) Drew II has a per-game averages of 11 points, 8 assists, and 3 rebounds.
