MIAMI (AP) — LeBron James did not practice Tuesday because of a sprained left ankle and his status for Miami's game against Indiana on Wednesday night is unknown.

James tweaked the ankle with just under 2 minutes remaining of the third quarter in Monday's win over Utah. James returned to the game in the fourth and was able to finish, but woke up Tuesday with soreness and pain.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra says it was only a light workout that James missed, adding that the four-time NBA MVP was better served spending that time getting treatment.

James is averaging 25.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 6.5 assists and has appeared in all 24 Heat games this season.
