SIOUX FALLS, SD -- The United States Hockey League announced on Monday that Sioux Falls Stampede netminder Charlie Lindgren has been named Reebok USHL Goaltender of the Week. He shares the honor with Omaha goalie Alex Lyon.

Lindgren earns the award after a stellar weekend in goal for Sioux Falls. He stopped all 18 shots faced on Friday in a 5-0 win at Tri-City to earn his first career USHL shutout. He then went on to stop 26 shots in a 5-2 victory over Lincoln at home on Saturday.

For the weekend he posted a 1.00 Goals-Against-Average and a .957 save percentage. He has won four of his last five starts and is now 6-3-3 with a 2.56 GAA and a .904 save percentage in nine games this season.

The Lakeville, Minn. native posted nine wins and a .907 save percentage in 33 games last year with the Stampede. He has already committed to St. Cloud State University for the 2013-14 season.

The Stampede (10-4-0) have won 10 of their last 12 games and are 8-1-0 at home this season. They return to action this weekend with two home games at the Sioux Falls Arena. The Herd host Tri-City on Friday before entertaining Dubuque on Saturday.  Game times are 7:05 PM each night
