RAPID CITY - A man shot by a Rapid City police officer after allegedly threatening officers with a butcher knife has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him.

Twenty-year-old Elijah White Magpie is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault on a police officer and intentional damage to public and private property. He could face more than 50 years in prison if convicted.

Authorities say the Feb. 21 incident began when White Magpie allegedly threw a rock through a window at the city library and shattered a window in a parked van. He entered his pleas Monday while sitting in a wheelchair.
