ZIELONA GORA, Poland (AP) — Five-time Grand Slam champion Martina Hingis will play her first competitive singles match since 2007 in a Fed Cup playoff on Saturday.

Hingis was drawn Friday to face Agnieszka Radwanska in the opening singles match when Switzerland plays Poland.

Hingis was expected to play only doubles in her first Fed Cup action in 17 years. Her selection makes her eligible for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

The 34-year-old Hingis was chosen ahead of No. 129 Romina Oprandi to support Timea Bacsinszky in singles.

Hingis and Bacsinszky are also scheduled to play in Sunday's doubles.

After her second retirement in 2007, Hingis played singles only in exhibition matches but won several doubles and mixed doubles titles.
