Minnesota Vikings Seek First Home Win Over Tampa Bay Since 2001
The old NFC Central foes will meet again this weekend, but recent history between the two has been favorable for Tampa Bay.
Prior to the start of the 2002 season, the NFL moved into the current divisions that we see today. The Vikings and Buccaneers played twice each season as members of the NFC Central, and the series was mostly dominated by the Vikings during the time they were division rivals.
Minnesota and Tampa Bay met 47 times as division rivals from 1977-2001. The Vikings went 30-17 against the Buccaneers in that stretch.
However, after division realignment, it's been all Tampa Bay. Since 2002, the Buccaneers hold a 5-1 advantage over Minnesota. Better yet, the Vikings haven't won a game at home against Tampa Bay since realignment (2001). The lone win for Minnesota was back in 2014 in a overtime 19-13 win in Tampa.

Minnesota and Tampa Bay kickoff at 12:00 on Sunday.
