Phil Loadholt has called it a career after playing six years in the NFL and following a torn Achilles tendon.

The news came out this morning from ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Loadholt suffered the torn Achilles tendon in a preseason game against Oakland prior to the 2015 season. He missed the entire year.

He was drafted out of Oklahoma in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft (54th overall) and played his entire career with the Vikings. He played and started in 89 games in his career.
