FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota State University softball team is ranked in the Top 25 in the nation in both final national polls.

The Bison are No. 24 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll and tied with Notre Dame for No. 25 in the USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll. Repeat national champ Florida is No. 1 in both polls.

The Bison finished the season with a 45-11 record, the most wins since 2002, and made their sixth appearance in the NCAA tournament in seven years. They made it to the championship game of the Eugene Regional before falling to tournament No. 2 seed Oregon.

The last time NDSU finished the season ranked in both polls was 2009, at Nos. 18 and 21.
