NFL Allowing Cleat Messages – but Only for One Week
The NFL is bending its own rules - for one weekend - and letting players put personal messages on their shoes.
The league says this is not a response to those national anthem protests; it's something that's been in the works for a year.
During week 13 of the season, the league will let players advertise charities or causes on their cleats, for one game only, as long as that charity or cause is approved in advance.
