UNDATED (AP) — The Chicago Blackhawks inched a little closer to the NHL's Western Conference lead on Tuesday, but they also suffered their league-leading 11th non-regulation loss of the season.

Tyson Barrie scored his second goal of the game on a power play at 4:09 of overtime to give Colorado a 3-2 triumph over the Blackhawks.

Barrie and Ryan O'Reilly scored 1:02 apart late in the first period, but the Hawks managed to tie the game before the Avalanche improved to 6-1-1 in their last eight games despite being outshot 48-26.

Semyon Varlamov handled 46 shots and improved to 9-0-5 in his last 14 starts.

Andrew Shaw provided the tying goal for the Blackhawks, who are four points behind West-leading Anaheim.

Tampa Bay and Boston share the Atlantic Division lead after Tyler Bozak collected two goals and an assist in Toronto's 4-3 win over the Bruins. Bozak has six goals and 16 points in his last 12 games.

The Lightning won at Madison Square Garden as Victor Hedman and Nikita Kucherov scored 9 seconds apart early in the second period of Tampa Bay's 2-1 triumph over the New York Rangers. Ben Bishop stopped 33 shots after missing the Lightning's previous three games with a sprained right wrist.

— St. Louis won for the eighth time in nine games as T.J. Oshie scored twice and Jaroslav Halak made 20 saves in a 2-1 decision over Phoenix. The Blues are within six points of West-leading Anaheim following their fifth consecutive home win.

— Jaromir Jagr, Dainius and Adam Henrique each had a goal and an assist in New Jersey's 4-1 triumph at Montreal. Martin Brodeur turned back 29 shots as the Devils dropped the Canadiens three points off the Atlantic Division lead.

— Patrick Marleau scored the lone shootout goal and Antti Niemi made 35 saves as San Jose downed Washington 2-1. Niemi was perfect after Alex Ovechkin notched his league-leading 33rd goal midway through the second period.

— Philadelphia topped Buffalo 4-3 on Vincent Lecavalier's goal with 15 seconds left. Scott Hartnell had a goal and two assists to help the Flyers stop their two-game losing streak.

— The New York Islanders' seven-game road winning streak is over after Scottie Upshall picked up a goal and an assist in Florida's 4-2 win over the Isles. Upshall's short-handed goal put the Panthers ahead 4-0 late in the second period.

— Ryan Ellis ended a 42-game scoring drought by notching the first of Nashville's three third-period goals in the Predators' 4-2 verdict over Calgary. David Legwand had three assists to help Nashville snap a three-game losing streak.

— Ryan Garbutt had a goal and two assists as Dallas dumped Edmonton 5-2 to end a six-game losing streak. Jamie Benn and Cody Eakin each had a goal and an assist for the Stars.

— Kyle Turris had a goal and an assist to support Robin Lehner's 27-save effort in Ottawa's 3-0 whitewash of Minnesota. Clarke MacArthur and Erik Condra also tallied before Lehner completed his second career shutout.
