A little bit of of everything in this installment of 'Off The Tee'.

I talked with Joel Harrington from 4 Deep Golf blog first about a big week for Jimmy Walker in Hawaii, which included a playoff loss at the Tournament of Champions and a win at the Sony Open:

While that was going on in Hawaii, Martin Kaymer seemed to have an insurmountable lead at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, before he collpased on the final day, blowing a ten shot lead:

Back in Hawaii, things took a bizarre twist off the course with Robert Allenby' alleged kidnapping, beating, and robbery in Honolulu.

Joel and I talked about the situation:

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods was back in the news, not for golf, but for dentistry.

Tiger was in Italy watching girlfriend Lindsey Vonn compete and supposedly had a  tooth knocked out by a wayward camera.

But like the Allenby story, there seems to be some debate as to actually what happened:

One thing is certain, Dustin Johnson is getting set to return from an extended absence from the tour next month.

What's not so clear though is why Johnson was away so long.

There has been a lot of speculation that he was serving a "secret suspension" from the PGA Tour for a cocaine problem, but Johnson says that's not true.
