Ring of Honor is returning to Hopkins, Minnesota tomorrow night as a part of their Summer Heat Tour. Earlier today, I had the opportunity to talk with the Ring of Honor World Champion Michael Elgin.

Elgin has been in the industry for a while, and appeared on his first main card for Ring of Honor in Minneapolis back in 2007.

"I remember it like yesterday. It was a long drive, about 16 hours from Toronto to Minnesota. I got paid $25 for the show, but I wouldn't change it for the world."

Elgin says that his dedication to the business got him a full-time spot with Ring of Honor:

"I think that people don't understand what it really takes to become a pro wrestler on a certain level. There's a lot of people that train and wrestle on the weekends, but to be the best you have to focus on that...I focused on training and mentally prepared for wrestling and that helped me get a full-time job."

Ring of Honor was live on PPV with Best in the World 2014. Elgin defeated Adam Cole to win the ROH World Title that night. Elgin says that the opportunity was special.

"It was a sense of accomplishment. Not many people in wrestling can say they were the main event of a companies first pay per view. We want to change the wrestling landscape."

Tomorrow night Ring of Honor hits Hopkins, Minnesota (closest show they will have to the Sioux Falls area). The main event is scheduled to be a six man war between Elgin/War Machine vs. Adam Cole/Michael Bennett/Matt Hardy. Elgin says that it will be a war, but it isn't the only fight he is planning for.

"...One other thing. I still want to defend my title tomorrow night. I'm going to work on that and hopefully I'll be out there twice tomorrow."
