Taking three point shots is one thing, but converting three point shots makes you hard to beat.  Rio Grande Valley made 15 of 33 from downtown to blitz the Sioux Falls Skyforce 127-106 on Saturday night.  How ironic it was when Andre Barrett connected from long range to start the game for the ‘Force that it would be the Vipers (33-15) firing at will from behind the arc that would be the undoing of the Teal.

RGV scored 14 straight points in the middle of the first quarter to break the game open and ride to the win.  Sioux Falls (24-23) are now out of the playoff picture with three games left.  Still Sioux Falls controls their destiny in their playoff mission.  Win and you qualify.  For the second straight night Andrew Goudelock led the way with 27 points and Terrence Jones added 16 counters.  Jarvis Varnado stuffed the stat sheet with 29 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks.  Mychel Thompson tallied 23 points and 5 assists.

Sioux Falls returns home to face Tulsa on Tuesday while Rio Grande Valley will rest until Friday when they host the Austin Toros.
