MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Former University of Minnesota forward Rodney Williams was among the draft hopefuls to work out for representatives from 26 NBA teams at Target Center on Wednesday.

Williams has been training in California to prepare for the pre-draft workouts and try to persuade a team to draft him. He primarily played power forward in his final two years at Minnesota. But the 6-foot-7 Williams will likely have to play on the wing if he wants to stick in the NBA.

Timberwolves president Flip Saunders says Williams needs to show executives that he's more than just a great athlete.

Williams says he's been working on his shooting and ball-handling and figures he will fit in best at small forward in the NBA.
