San Francisco and the bay area did a great job of hosting the fans, the teams, the media and anyone else who was in town for Super Bowl 50.

They handled the logistics very well considering how spread apart the bay area can be and they did a great job making Super Bowl 50 feel as special as the 50th Super Bowl needed to feel all things considered.

Next up for Super Bowl 51, Houston will have the hosting duties.

At a press conference earlier today in downtown San Francisco, the San Francisco Super Bowl Host Committee literally passed on the ball to Houston.

The Houston Super Bowl committee was very vocal in their excitement for the opportunity to host the Super Bowl next year and were very adamant that they were up for the task.

Super Bowl 51 will be held in Houston at NRG Stadium, the home of the Houston Texans.

Next year at this time, the folks from Houston will be passing the ball themselves and at that time it will be passed to the Minneapolis Super Bowl Hosting Committee as they will host Super Bowl 52.
