Wednesday, South Dakota State sophomore guard Taevaunn Prince has announced he is transferring.

Prince is 6'3", 215 and averaged 4.4 points and 2.1 rebounds per game for SDSU last year. His freshman year, he averaged 6.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

Scott Nagy told the Argus Leader, "It's Prince's desire to play more. In order for him to do what he wants in terms of his dreams, he's got to get somewhere he can play more."

Prince's departure gives SDSU an open scholarship.
