That's Mark Jr. playing 2nd. And who's that grey haired man out there with him? Wait, that's his dad helping out coaching the team.

Kids and baseball are one of the greatest mixes of all time. Every generation has their time, and it's a precious time.

Every now and then over the past 35 years, I would dig out my old glove and slip it on my hand. For a moment I could go back to those summers long gone by.

And now they've come back to me in a whole new way. My son, soon to be six, started playing this year.

We have games two nights a week. One night of baseball clinics, and the other nights playing catch in the yard. I'm loving it!

Mark Jr. joined a fantastic organization. I highly recommend it for children playing baseball in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I only wish I would have had the opportunity to be a part of it when I was a kid.

The organization is SEBA. It is the Sioux Empire Baseball Association. There are eight teams with our session.

Our team is the Sargents. And let me tell you, it's quite the little ball club!
