Being down 16 points with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter is one thing.  Putting together a 23-8 run to take the lead just over five minutes later is quite another.  Still another is letting it slip away as the Los Angeles D-Fenders stood tall in a 122-117 win over Sioux Falls Saturday night at the Toyota Sports Center.

Terrence Williams hit a three point shot with 8:10 left to make the score 108-92 for the D-Fenders (13-10).  With 2:41 left, the Skyforce (15-9) had their first lead since early in the second quarter 115-113.  A baseline jumper by James Southerland with 44.8 left put the lead back in the Los Angeles side of the ledger to stay.

Spearheading the attack for Sioux Falls was Justin Hamilton’s 33 points and 18 rebounds and 2 blocks for his 10th double-double of the season while Tre Kelley provided 27 counters 8 boards and 6 assists in his fourth straight contest with at least 20 points.  Los Angeles got their cue from C.J. Williams who posted 27 points and the aforementioned Southerland with 24 points as seven D-Fenders scored in twin figures.

Sioux Falls returns home for a Thursday night engagement with the Iowa Energy.  Los Angeles will entertain the Texas Legends on Monday for their next tussle.
